Cape Zalia is the newest addition to the Zalia Retreats collection of stylish holiday homes. It sits in Constantia, one of Cape Town’s most exclusive suburbs, with views of Table Mountain and the famous Constantia vineyards. Set off a private, tree-lined road, it has a calm, spacious feel that helps you unwind almost as soon as you arrive.

Central Cape Town is a 15-minute drive away, and Llandudno, one of the Cape’s best beaches, is just 20 minutes. It’s a great base for families, couples and groups of friends.

The House

The living space is on the first floor to make the most of the sweeping views over the infinity pool and the greenery of Constantia.

Bedrooms

• Main bedroom (first floor): super king bed, freestanding bath and a large ensuite wrapped around an old English oak tree, with views of the mountain, vineyards and pool.
• Second bedroom (ground floor): king-size bed with pool and mountain views, opening onto the pool terrace.
• Third bedroom (ground floor): twin beds that can be made up as a king, with direct pool access.

The two ground-floor bedrooms share a large walk-in shower room, and every bedroom has plenty of wardrobe space.

Living and Dining

The spacious living area has comfortable seating for everyone, a TV with Netflix and Amazon, and fast Wi-Fi throughout. The open-plan dining area has a large table that suits relaxed family meals as well as a more formal dinner.

The contemporary kitchen is fully equipped, with a large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. There’s a second dining spot just off the kitchen, opening onto a large terrace with views of the garden, pool and mountain.

Pool and Gardens

The beautiful infinity pool, with Table Mountain views, suits confident swimmers and beginners alike. The landscaped grounds include olive and citrus trees and our own small vineyard. Help yourself to fresh oranges and grapefruit for breakfast juice, and lemons and limes for evening drinks.

Comfort

The house has air conditioning throughout, ceiling fans for the nights you don’t need it, and a wood-burning fire for cooler months.

Sustainability

We keep investing in making our homes more sustainable. Most of the house runs on solar power, and we keep plastic to a minimum. The tap water is filtered through the fridge, so there’s no need for bottled water.

Safe and Secure

Cape Zalia sits in a quiet, residential part of Constantia. The house has an alarm system, and ADT security covers the area. The garden is fully enclosed, so children and pets can play safely. The solar system has battery backup, so you can count on lights, Wi-Fi and the essentials staying on during power cuts.

Peace of Mind

A local house manager is on hand for anything you need during your stay.
